How secure are your files?
Very.
That is the simple answer. OmegaSoft has thought long and hard about the security functions required to enable RemoteDrive to be a successful service.
First of all, the directory where all the files are stored, is locked away from public viewing. This is done by restricing permissions on the server, blocking IP addresses and reenforcing the protection behind encrypted usernames and passwords.
One of the main questions raised, was; should RemoteDrive be public?
To answer, the majority of our users used the former 'iNet Hosting' service as a remote data storage. We felt that the days of public hosting were gone for us, and that a more effective service would be to ensure users files were kept secure. So that they could take them on the fly.
A bit like flash-drives, but this new service doesn't even require an extra keyfob on your bunch of endless keys.
